Specimen #003B – Boletus speculo

Observations: This diminutive species of fungus, commonly referred to as the “glass mushroom,” has a translucent cap with a delicate, lace-like veining pattern that brings to mind a Tiffany lamp. Prized for its mild hallucinogenic properties, the caps are said to produce a kaleidoscopic visual effect when consumed.
